An average person you meet everyday has got dreams and aspirations either as clear as crystal or as shadowy as a cloud threatening to unleash what it’s carrying.

The ones with a blurry view would usually ask several questions while wondering and wandering around seeking clarity.
As for the others who seem to have a clear grasp of it and sure about it more than they are sure of their names, ask them why they haven’t started quite living that life and you’d be in for some lengthy lectures or stories of what has not worked, why it hasn’t worked and how they hope to figure it out as soon as possible.

You see, Dear friend, in the journey of life, we are all in search of a treasure or let me say, a meaning to our lives or rather, a reason for our existence.

We get so immersed in this search that we forget to take cognizance of a hidden yet simple fact.

The fact being that every thing we are, everything we do, every decision we make, every mistakes we make are all linked to and are pre-requisites for us to unearth this treasure.

Maybe I should insert a story here. (We all love good stories, don’t we?😊)

A recently sacked from work and unemployed man was trying to get a job and he applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at Microsoft.

The HR manager interviewed him and then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.
‘You are employed’ the manager said. Give me your e-mail address and I’ll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start.

For a moment, his world was shattered. Why? you may ask.

The man had just lost the job because he had neither a computer nor an email’.

‘I’m sorry’, said the HR manager. If you don’t have an email, that means you do not exist and who doesn’t exist, cannot have the job.’

It wasn’t the fact that he lost the opportunity of landing a job that caused him pain, rather, it was a simple question of ‘do you have a mail’ which he responded in the non affirmative which made him loose the chance to be a cleaner in the organization that made him feel so bad.

It looked like he would have to go another round of job search before he could land his dream job.

As he wandered on the streets, an idea struck him to use the little money he had to buy tomatoes from the streets and resell to people in their homes, obviously, just to enable him survive.

In less than two hours, he had sold the tomatoes and was returning to pick the 3rd batch to resell.
In few weeks, he was picking up the same tomatoes with a cart and in months, he was opening outlets in different areas to sell tomatoes.

Few years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US.
He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan.

When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him for his email. The man replied,’I don’t have an email.’

The broker answered curiously, ‘You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire.

Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!’

Michael Jenkins thought for a while and replied, ‘Yes, I’d be an office boy at Microsoft!’

Dissapointments, unexpected and sometimes expected events will always arise in our quest for the ultimate treasure of our lives which will make us to take detours off the original plan/route.

In those moments, we count these occurrences as set backs and wonder if we’d ever reach the promised land.

I want to remind you today, that all those experiences/occurrences are all linked.

There’s a reason why you got rejected from that job, a reason why you lost that loved one, a reason why you took that bold step which turned out to be a foolish mistake.

The reason is because, it is indeed linked to the treasure you seek.

You obviously don’t have the powers to see into the future, I can’t either, but I can assure you that your current experiences are just the ingredients needed to take you from where you are to where you should be.

Let’s not even look into the future but revel in the past for a moment, aren’t you grateful that person said NO to you because you figured out how to do it yourself?
Aren’t you thankful that person left you because now you feel an uncommon kind of self love?
Aren’t you happy you lost your job because you got the so much needed motivation to start your booming business?

It surely didn’t look cool then, did it?
You get my drift now, don’t you?

Everything happening around you is all linked together, not just linked but also working for your good.

So, I’ll end by saying…
Don’t allow the tears and losses of today make you have a blurry vision of tomorrow and most importantly the accompanying signs which should form your next line of action.

Be kind enough to drop a comment, I’m off to buy some tomatoes..Lol.

Cheers to your unlimited success!
